It is a fantastic hotel, with very nice service and a good location.
I don't remember when I felt so welcome last time. All was explained clearly, and we've received a lot of extra tips about what to see, where to go, how to move, or how to get to the airport. The food was delicious, and the room and bathroom were very clean. We liked the style of the furniture.
We were very pleased with our stay. The hotel is very close to the bus station, so we didn't have to go very far early in the morning.
If we travel to Venice again, we will choose this place again. I can highly recommend it!
Hotel Olimpia is in a great location, a short and easy walk from the train station and convenient to all the major sites but the neighborhood still feels quiet and cozy, less touristy which is what we wanted. The staff were warm and welcoming. The breakfast was delicious and being able to sit in the garden in the evening and drink some wine was lovely. It was so peaceful, it felt like we had all of Venice to ourselves. The rooms were beautifully appointed, exactly as advertised in their online pictures, if not better. Thank you for making our stay so special. We highly recommend Hotel Olimpia Venice and look forward to coming back in the future!

How did this hotel get such good reviews.
Let's start on a positive note.
Effective prompt communication on booking the hotel and subsequent responses.
The front desk staff are pleasant, and the hotel is clean.
The location is reasonable.
Moving on to what is not so good.
The pictures on the website don't reflect the hotel accurately in my views.
The rooms are small, and the double bed [ two single beds joined] was uncomfortable
The breakfast was passable, but the staff was rude, and I could swear I felt a hint of racisim.
Lastly, we felt this was not good value for money.
This was one of the nicest hotels we stayed in while visiting Italy. The room was very comfortable, and the staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly. There’s a lovely garden to enjoy, and the hotel is right on a canal. And the location is perfect - it’s a couple minutes walk to the bus station (which helps if you need to leave early like we did) and it is in a quieter part of the city, which was a nice escape after being in the bustling center all day. Great value, and highly recommended.
This hotel is in an excellent location, close to train station. Staff is very courteous. Marco at the front desk is especially very welcoming, and friendly. He went out the way to help us with phone call with taxi reservation as we didn't know Italian. He made us feel at home and made good local restaurant recommendations, especially on the day of our arrival when we were tired. Breakfast is excellent and offers a wide range of choices. Highlight was fresh Kiwi fruit (not seen in restaurants other than in Sydney).
Beautiful hotel, in a great location right next to the bus boats and beautiful canals/ bars. The service was outstanding, everybody who works there is very professional. The breakfast was good. Would 100% recommend and it's very close to the train station too. Thank you for making our honeymoon great! And thanks for the complimentary drink! X
We had a wonderful stay. The staff were exceptionally helpful and kind. We had a room overlooking the garden and breakfast terrace - a beautiful view. The location was perfect for walking into the centre or taking the waterbus. We liked the more ‘local’ feel of the neighbourhood. Breakfast was delicious. Great restaurant right next door.
So charming and it¿s very central to the buses and other necessary transportation. Buffet breakfast was outstanding. Rooms were so quiet and comfortable beds. We weren¿t able to enjoy much time in Venice but when we come back we will def stay her
